Practicing sight words is such an important skill for young readers. There are many hands on ways to practice in and out of the classroom. Then there are times, when students just need to practice writing sight words. That is where these sight word activity pages come in. They are perfect for introducing new words or reviewing old words. You could even do individualized spelling and print out the specific words that each student needs to work on. This would make great literacy center practice or quick homework.
-printed sight word worksheets
How to Use:After introducing a new sight word have students practice tracing the correct formation of the word. Then they will get the chance to write the word three times on their own using the tracing examples above. Next, they will search among the given sight words and circle the word for that page. After that they will need to figure out what letters are missing and fill in the blanks. At the end, they color the word.
